Heat pack - Our range of soft ice packs can also be gentlly heated in a microwave oven to be used as a hot pack. Extreme care must be taken to ensure that the gel pack is not too hot before using. Wrapping the heated pack in a towel can be effective.

Camping - use of ice packs in eskeys when away from home will not only save lots of money as bags of crushed ice melt before your eyes but stops food being contaminated by melting ice.

In 12v fridge/freezers, the use of ice packs at the top and bottom of the fridge will make a big difference to the unit's ability to maintain temperature thus extending the time between battery re-charging and reducing the drain on the charging vehicle's battery. This is a particular problem when the vehicle is not being driven to recharge the battery.

First Aid - An ice pack is an essential part of any First Aid kit. The early application of an ice pack will help reduce bruising and swelling if applied after injury. An ice pack should be kept in your fridge ready for use.

Headaches - Holding an ice pack against your head has been know to offer relief from headaches and wont melt all over you as it warms up.

Lunch Boxes - Guard your child's lunch against dangerous bacteria by packing a small frozen ice pack in the lunch box each day. Return to freezer at night so it is ready for the next day.

How To Use

Ice packs can be kept in the fridge for use in fist aid applications but for maximum effectiveness, they need to be frozen. Our range of ice packs freeze solid in a few days ready for use to protect your goods when temperature control is vital.

Ice packs can be safely re-used many times by simply re-freezing them until next needed. However, when damaged, they must be safely disposed of (see disposal)
